Frequency converter has been on the market for nearly 20 years in China. Because of its excellent performance and considerable power saving effect, it is widely used in all walks of life, and the utilization rate has reached about 30%. Especially in the past decade, it has developed rapidly, with an annual increase rate of more than 20%. Compared with other frequency converters, the application of mine inverter is relatively late, but in the past five years, the development trend is rapid and has the trend of being the first in various industries. The most fundamental reason is that the backward electrical equipment can not meet the needs of industrial production, the old equipment has low efficiency and high energy consumption, and the technical problems in the development of explosion-proof industry need to be solved. Energy saving and consumption reduction and low carbon emission are the objective needs of social development, and the state attaches great importance to the technical upgrading and transformation of explosion-proof industry. From the "Eleventh Five Year Plan" to now, the technical development of explosion-proof industry is changing with each passing day, and the application of mine explosion-proof inverter is becoming more and more extensive.

The industry particularity of mine inverter has the following four points:

1. It must be explosion-proof, because there are combustible and explosive gas and dust under the mine, and the environment is humid, ordinary structure products can not be applied. The normal operation of explosion-proof frequency conversion can be ensured only when the general components are placed in a special box which meets the explosion-proof standard.

2. The frequency converter and motor are usually far away from the power supply than the general products, so the 380V three-phase four wire power supply mode has too much line loss, so its voltage level is 660V, 1140V, or even 3300v. This is related to the power of the receiving equipment, which is 660 V for ≤ 100kW, 1140V for 100kW and 3300v for 1000kW.

3. The anti-interference requirements are strict. It is not allowed to affect other electrical equipment due to harmonic interference after using the frequency converter, nor to affect the normal use of other electronic equipment due to high-frequency electromagnetic interference.

4. Mine equipment has its own special requirements, such as long life, reliable performance and other needs of electric drive industry.
